About Us 2017-12-18T01:02:42+00:00

SGPCsprang into action in 2012 as a response to community need, growing from a resource center to a medical clinic for pregnant women. We are now a non-profit 501-(C)(3) medical clinic and support group located in Berlin, Maryland that primarily caters to the needs of teenage and young adult mothers. We have been a member of the community for over six years now, providing services to over 300 young parents in 2016. We strive to provide free, quality services that benefit the lives of young mothers and their families.

Executive Director

Dr. Paula Rose

Dr. Rose was asked to join the staff at SGPC in 2011 when the center first decided to add the medical aspect to what was being offered.

After prayerful consideration she agreed to serve as medical director.

She is in the perfect position to relate well with clients as she herself has experienced an unplanned pregnancy and the possible ramifications of this life-changing event. After examining all possible aspects and outcomes of this event in her own life, she made the decision to give birth. Dr. Paula has been in medical practice for over forty (40) years. She first served in emergency medicine, and, for the last twenty (20) years has been a Director of Occupational Medicine.

Paula has three grown sons – a doctor, an accountant, and a lawyer – who all live in the Berlin area.
